Cityview Magazine, Knoxville’s premier magazine that highlights events, culture, and style, is expanding its sales team and is looking for highly motivated, highly energized, experienced sales professionals to work with advertising clients. Advertising and Sales experience is required. Our magazine has been in production for 26 years and is an attractive product to sell. Candidates must exhibit every level of professionalism, professional appearance, organizational skills, and have an outgoing personality. Ability to develop new business is a must.

Internships:
Journalism Internship:
Cityview Magazine seeks an outstanding writer for an unpaid editorial internship. Candidates must be available part-time (20 hours per week) for a minimum of three months, from September through December, January through May, or May through August. We are looking for a smart, enthusiastic intern for the fall 2012 semester. An ideal candidate will be extremely organized, pay close attention to detail, and have a love for all things Knoxville. Regular
responsibilities include researching products in the area, transcribing interviews, researching story ideas, and setting up meetings.
Qualifications: Applicants must have significant writing and editing experience, either through former jobs or internships or university courses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, acute attention to detail and the ability to work independently are required.

Marketing / Public Relations Internship:
The Marketing/Public Relations intern will assist the Sales & Marketing Director in daily activities.
Qualifications: Candidates must be willing to work 12-15 hours per week. This internship will provide valuable, real-world experience, that encourages “out of the box” thinking. This internship is unpaid, however intern names will be published on the masthead of issues you participated that you will be able to add to your portfolio. The main duties of the of the Marketing/Public relations intern will be to assist with setting up meetings, making phone calls, generating ad ideas, actively participate with social media and help with special events.
