January 11: Take a Chance on This
The ever-popular Knoxville Symphony orchestra Pops
series is kicking off the new year with a tribute to ‘70s favor-
ite ABBA. Though the Swedish group broke up in 1982, their
infectious tunes, including “Dancing Queen,” “Waterloo,” “Ring
Ring,” and many more, have maintained their place in the panthe-
on of pop music greats (leading ABBA to be inducted into the Rock

January 24: The Party Never Ends
Robert Earl Keen has come a long way from the Austin nightclubs
where he started his career in the early ‘80s. The Texan singer-
songwriter has performed with the likes of guy Clark and Townes
Van Zandt, written and released 11 original albums, and is still
strumming strong. Whether you’ll sing along with the country
star’s every tune or see him for the first time, this show won’t
make you say “I gotta go” until far into the night. Tickets are $29,

January 30: Umphrey’s McGee
‘Round the Mountain
Called “musical alchemists” by Entertain-
ment Weekly, umphrey’s Mcgee is known
most of all for being unexpected and in-
novative. The band started in 1997 on the Colorado natives Adam Aijala, Jeff
