BEHInD THE COVER
Cityview had a great time at our
cover shoot for The food Issue! Knox
County Mayor Tim Burchett, who co-wrote
our story on some of the best places to find
down-home cooking in our area (he’s an
expert), helped us capture the great times to
be had at an old-timey drive-in restaurant.
We would especially like to thank Steve
West of West Properties for providing the
beautiful car, hP Video for providing the
space for our shoot, and Tyler oxendine for
the great shots featured on the cover, on this
page, and in “Tim Burchett’s Down-home
Cooking Extravaganza” on page 87.

chevrolet and now retired, graciously allowed us to use his
fully restored 1957 chevrolet bel air convertible for this
shoot. Here, he joins mayor burchett in the front seat.

[bottom Left] the cover models spend some quality
time with mayor burchett’s own pride and joy: the 1969
Karmann ghia convertible that he received as a high
school graduation present in 1982. the car is in top
condition—despite a wreck on rainy neyland Drive that
same year!—thanks to the work of P.j. burchett, a cousin
of mayor burchett.
[bottom right] Have you ever seen a sexier pair of cars
in one space? Here, our team consults on the next shot.
