Artitude 2017
On March 31st, Cherokee Mills was the scene for this year’s Artitude, hosted by Cancer Support Community and Dogwood Arts, and featuring an auction of stunningly creative, sometimes repurposed artworks created by local and regional artists. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Courage and Survivorship,” was in evidence as Casey Wheeless of WVLT interviewed artists and hosts alike. The atrium-filling crowd enjoyed food and beverages from Holly’s Eventful Dining, Balter Beerworks, and Old City Wine Bar. Music by Ben Maney (and some of his students!) kept a spring in everyone’s step.
