28th Annual Ijams
River Rescue
On Saturday, April 1st, for the third consecutive year, Team Pellissippi cleaned Second Creek’s Davanna Ave. site as
part of Ijams River Rescue. The rescue, presented by Keurig Green Mountain and TVA, featured around 1,000 volunteers at roughly 50 different cleanup sites along
the Tennessee River and its tributaries. Comprising faculty, staff, students, and friends of the college, the team participated for the seventh time in the rescue as
an ongoing project of Pellissippi State Community College Service Learning.
