KAPA’s Boot
Scootin’ Ball
On April 7th, Knoxville Area Project Access held their annual Boot Scootin’ Ball to raise funds to support health care for low-income Tennesseans. The philanthropic arm of the Knoxville Academy of Medicine hosted the event at the Knoxville Marriot, where guests were greeted in the hotel lobby by a wide range of country-western and bluegrass- styled cover tunes provided by Knoxville band Blond Bones. Attendees, decked
out in their finest line-dancing apparel, descended into the ballroom atrium for a cocktail reception and silent auction that featured over 120 items. Dinner followed, with a concert by the Charlie Daniels Band providing the main entertainment for the evening. A DJ and dancing continued the event until midnight.
