Zoofari 2017
This year marked the 30th anniversary of Zoo Knoxville’s annual fundraising benefit, Zoofari. The event, in honor of local auction- eer and businessman Sam Furrow, featured
a cocktail hour followed by a seated dinner,
a charity auction hosted by Furrow, and after-party dancing. Many of the zoo’s more people-friendly animals were on display, carried by staff and volunteers throughout accessible areas of the park, while at least one Malayan tiger was visible through glass from the “temple” at newly minted Tiger Forest. Early evening sun gave way to a sparkling evening sky as both visitors and residents reveled in the native habitats.
