Labeled by the New York Times as “the best musical of this century,” The Book of Mormon will be performed eight times at the Tennessee Theatre for six nights in July.  An odd couple of Mormon missionaries travel around the world in this musical comedy. The nine-time Tony Award-winning musical was written by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez—Parker and Stone also created South Park. Tickets for the performances are available through tennesseetheatre.com with prices starting at $44.

The play premiered in 2011 at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre in New York City.

Robert Lopez: Having also composed songs for the musical Avenue Q and the Disney films Frozen and Coco, Robert Lopez is the youngest of only twelve people who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony Award.

Matt Stone is a co-creator of South Park and has won five Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on the animated series. He has been awarded three Tony Awards and one Grammy Award for The Book of Mormon.
