CHRISTINE CORDELIA COPELAN, Cityview’s new associate editor, is a Clinton, Tennessee, native who moved to Knoxville in 2009 as a University of Tennessee freshman. While exploring several majors—including theater, psychology, and pre-med—she stumbled upon public relations, which combined her love of writing, passion for research, and curiosity about business. After graduating in 2013, Copelan worked various freelance and contract jobs before landing at Cityview. During sunny weekends you can probably find her on a hiking/walking trail
or near a lake or river. (Copelan is likely to make several trips to Big Ridge State Park this time
of year.) When weather doesn’t permit outdoor fun—and if she isn’t tending to her extensive coffee cup collection or curating her apartment’s bookshelves—Copelan is dreaming of ways to make the world a better place.
