Luxury isn’t a price point. It’s a level of service.
As a new NextHome Makers City Franchise, Knoxville Living Group’s Deanna Mendenhall Miller and Paula Kelley are bringing the Knoxville area much more than just a branch of one of America’s most respected REALTOR franchise organizations. They’re also bringing a level of service that, until now, simply couldn’t be found across Knox County and the surrounding areas. And that’s because, Mendenhall-Miller and Kelley are two of Knoxville’s most accomplished real estate agents who, together, offer clients over two decades of luxury-level, real estate experience.
“Luxury isn’t a price point. It’s a level of service,” Deanna says. “Clients can be confident in our handling of one of their greatest assets, whether that is a modest first home, an investment property, or a dream home. We treat all of our buyers and sellers as though they were luxury.”

The two are well-versed in luxury real estate. They are both trained and certified through the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing and, as such, are entitled to work with NextHome’s Casan Collection of listings. There are certain criteria a property must meet in order to be a Casan listing and at the same time, there are certain criteria that representative agents must meet, as well. “For us to even be able to offer a property as a Casan listing,” says Deanna, we have to be certified. So, not every agent can offer properties from this very exclusive list. Both Paula and I are quite experienced in this area, having been certified as luxury home marketing specialists back in 2017.”
Deanna and Paula met in 2015, when Paula first obtained her real estate sales license. As a fresh agent at their shared brokerage at the time, Paula wanted to learn from the best. After co-listing just one property together and going on to become their brokerage’s top producing team, they both realized that partnership was a natural next step. That next step became Knoxville Living Group.
Client Diane Anding can attest to the team’s professionalism, knowledge, and dedication to personal service: “Selling a house can be a daunting process,” she says. “It becomes even more complicated when it is part of an estate, and the personal representative/executor is living out of state. I received recommendations from people I knew in Knoxville and met with different firms. My connection with Paula and Deanna was instant. They presented their plan without trying to pressure me. They knew just how to present the house, and when it sold, they represented me at the closing. I would recommend Paula and Deanna highly to anyone who doesn’t want to worry about the details or the problems that may arise.”
It’s no surprise, then, that the Knoxville Living Group’s clientele is largely referrals. “I am proud that most of our business is referral or return business,” Paula says. “We’ve developed a clientele that respects us and freely sends friends and family our way. We’ve created a real “family” here, with our NextHome Makers City agents, that clients can sense when they do business with us. And, most of all, we’ve created a culture that is honest, ethical, and always puts people first.”
