Kriston Wilson, the down-to-earth wife and mom of two–Ellison (10) and Garrett (8), is a top producing agent with Realty Executives-Land Oak.

She is full of energy and always looking for new ways to grow both personally and professionally. With a degree in Psychology from UTK and past experience in the title and mortgage fields, real estate fell into all the right places for Kriston. However, she is very humble about her quick success over the past six years.

Kriston got her real estate license in 2013 and immediately chose Realty Executives to call home.  She chose this company because of its success in the Knoxville area and its reputation among successful agents, including her mother-in law Stephanie Wilson with the Maryville office.  “Realty Executives is the reason that I was able to succeed so quickly in a very saturated industry. “When I got started, I met with my broker and he asked about my goals.  I was silent for a minute because at that point, I just wanted to sell a house. But I was sitting there looking at the sign in the office with photos of the top selling agents for 2012.  I said out loud, ‘I want to be on that sign.’”

At the time, she only wanted to sell one or two houses per month. Kriston quickly learned that in order to succeed in this industry, you better plan to work full time.  “I work when other people are not working; that’s when people have time to look for homes.”

Kriston’s husband, Jason, is a local customer builder who owns Wilson Construction. He specializes in high-end, residential homes. Most of his projects are in Knox, Loudon, and Blount counties with focus on lakefront and upscale communities. Jason recently had a $1 million+ home in Bridgemore was that featured in the Knoxville Parade of Homes.

Kriston also represents a production builder in Knoxville that focuses on affordable build to suit homes with an average price point of $300,000-$400,000.

In addition to new construction, she works with buyers and sellers on resale property. “I will work for you regardless of the price point!”

One of the biggest trends that Kriston is seeing in homes is a soft, clean color palette.

Kriston’s tips for getting your home market ready can be simple and inexpensive, such as cleaning your front door.  “It’s the first thing a buyer meets when he/she walks up to your house. Hang a wreath or add planters on each side of the door. Curb appeal is huge!  Add some fresh mulch, pull weeds and minimize yard art.”

Kriston hopes to focus on different types of marketing and education in 2019.  She states “the real estate market is constantly changing and it is trendy. If I want continued success in this market, I have to keep up.” She also hopes to continue surpassing her volume; but only as much as she can handle diligently.  It’s not success if you are drowning. ” I want to be the best possible version of me, for my clients.”
