Tennessee Valley Asset Management Partners
Combing Strengths to Provide Strategic Advice
It takes a lot to walk away from a position in which you’ve invested many years to start living your dream. It takes faith, hard work, a business plan, confidence in your skills and experience, and a healthy appreciation for risk taking. But when you combine those with a powerful and dedicated team committed to that same dream, you know it will work.
That’s how Jeff Foster, Scott Fisher, and Jeff Sweat felt when they started Tennessee Valley Asset Management Partners, or TVAMP.
“We were able to build a firm that makes a difference in the lives of our clients, our team, and their families,” Foster says. “There are not many professions where you can have this sort of impact.”
In 2006, the three partners left a national brokerage firm where they had been working for several years. They opened their own individual practices working independently for six years. But the friends stayed in contact, sharing ideas and business strategies. They talked constantly about joining forces again someday. And in 2011, the dream came to fruition; they combined their practices and formed TVAMP.
“When we made the switch, we were hoping our clients could tell how much we valued the relationships we had built with them,” Foster recalls.
TVAMP works closely with clients to help get their financial house in order. “Our work is about providing comprehensive wealth management for our clients that encompasses everything from establishing a savings plan to helping coordinate their estate plan,” Sweat says. Foster adds, “We work to connect with their goals and lay out a roadmap to achieve and help anticipate and plan for some of the obstacles, or life’s roadblocks.”
However, the ultimate goal is to help clients achieve “true wealth,” where they can establish a plan for financial stability while investing in their relationships, communities, and wellness. “Having ‘true wealth’ is not just about money; it’s about living life on purpose,” Fisher says. “It’s about investing in and having a positive impact on your corner of the world.”
The 10 wealth advisors and nine full time support staff at TVAMP have relationships with attorneys, CPAs, and insurance professionals with whom they consult when seeking to improve a client’s overall financial position. They approach those topics in a way quite unlike many other firms in this field. Client care and relationships are critical. “We put on close to 25 events each year to facilitate the ability to stay connected and ‘live invested’ with our clients,” Sweat says.
Another thing that sets TVAMP apart from other firms is the position of Client Care Coordinator, which they implemented about a year ago. Cindy, TVAMP’s coordinator, sends personally written and signed cards and gifts to clients to celebrate good times as well as words of encouragement in times of need. She visits clients in their homes, the hospital, and nursing homes. She makes sure their clients know TVAMP cares.
“We touch lives and hopefully have a positive impact,” Sweat says. “I’m proud to say that when a client comes here, they don’t have to worry about getting jaded advice. TVAMP has a family atmosphere dedicated to a high standard of service.”
Foster, Fisher, Sweat, and their team strive to empower those they serve to achieve “true wealth” and to “Live Invested.” They know that when a client chooses to invest with the firm, TVAMP can be counted on to invest in them.
