The fCA’s current residential 
programs focus on youth aged 13 to 18 

who are experiencing severe behav- 
ioral or emotional problems or trying 

to recover from alcohol abuse or drug 
abuse. According to Christian, “our 

children need help to change their 
behavior for a better quality of life.

significant personal trauma, such as the 

death of a parent or a sibling. They’re 
experiencing trouble in school or abuse 

in the home. We try to focus on educa- 
tion and cognitive therapy to break 

those cycles.”
