Age Groups at a Glance

Discovery Camp
| aGes 3 ThrouGh enTerinG 1sT GraDe
A unique environment created precisely for our youngest campers. Children

are placed into speciic groups based on age/grade and participate in many
camp activities under the close supervision of our nurturing counselors. The

low camper-to-counselor ratio ensures that all campers receive the support
and assurance they need for a successful camp experience. A sampling of

activities includes
swim instruction,

arts and crafts,
zipline, sing-alongs,

sandbox play,
outdoor games,
nature activities and

story times. Children
entering the irst

grade also have the
opportunity to go

boating. All campers
must be completely

potty trained and at least age three by June 1. To ensure a quality camp
experience, we recommend all three-year-olds attend a minimum of two or

more weeks, and we strongly recommend consecutive weeks.

Explorer campers are always looking for fun and challenging experiences
and we provide them! Campers are grouped by grade level with rising

second and third graders together and rising fourth and ifth graders
together. Excellent counselor role models provide supervision, guidance and

encouragement. Due to the large variety of activities, explorer campers often
get to choose their activities. Some of the activities include swimming, arts

and crafts, archery, boating, nature study, group initiatives, zipline, outdoor
games, sports and more. Rising fourth graders and older have opportunities
to sign up for the climbing tower, marksmanship, and tree climbing.

The ultimate in middle school-based camping. There are plenty of activities
that vary by week including woodworking, drama, challenge games, sports,

crafts, climbing tower, zip line, marksmanship and other options. But what
really makes Adventure Camp so popular is the group bonding time, peer
relationships and camaraderie with staff. Under the leadership of active staff

role models, adventurers are a tight knit team and thrive on getting to choose
their groups based on the weekly activities.
