Graduate Success Stories
LMU Law equips students to practice in many professional environments, emphasizing access to justice for everyone, no matter where they live. A significant number of our law school graduates take their professional skills back home to practice, and, in doing so, provide legal services in communities where access is limited. We want
to highlight a few examples of how
graduates have increased access to legal services across Tennessee.
Both of us grew up in rural communities before meeting at the Duncan School of Law: Emily in
Lee County, Virginia and Evan in Pickett County, Tennessee. Here, we found success, both personally and professionally. Evan’s role as Editor- in-Chief of the LMU Law Review and Emily’s position as a member of the
Moot Court team positioned us well
to secure jobs in area law firms, but
that was never our passion. As Lincoln envisioned, we wanted to apply what we have learned to our own practice in Jamestown, Tennessee. LMU Law has provided us with the knowledge and skills to pursue our goals and embark on the school mission. Together, we hope to be a force for positive change in the Upper Cumberland.
