It’s All So
Yummy Café
if you seek locally
made ice cream in a variety
of flavors, head to the aptly named It’s All So Yummy
Café, where owners Kim and Wade Wilcox serve more than 45 diverse—and sometimes unconventional—flavors. The Wilcoxes, inspired by the Hilton Head ice cream process, say the ice cream has less air, and that's what makes it such a flavorful treat. “When I was younger I would make up recipes,” says Kim. “I enjoy the creative process. This is what I’m called to do.” The couple regularly creates new and inventive flavors in small batches. (The latest experiments? Buttermint Ice Cream and Goat Cheese Apricot.) If you’re feeling adventurous, try a scoop of the Chocolate Covered Bacon flavor. Looking for something tried-and-true? Customers enjoy Chocolate Brownie Chunk, with homemade brownies and creamy fudge, or the Espresso Bean: a rich flavor that uses beans from Townsend. Be sure to drop by on Monday for half- price ice cream.
