NOLA Magic on Magnolia

0

Supporters of the Knoxville Symphony League traveled back to the Roaring ’20s in February at the historic home of local preservationist Kim Trent for an afternoon of Mardi Gras-themed fun. New Orleans jazz by pianist Matthew Fischer delighted the ears of all those in attendance as they sipped on Hurricane Mimosas and Bayou Bloody Marys, enjoyed Fat Tuesday-themed decor, and indulged in traditional New Orleans fare. From jambalaya and sweet potato bacon biscuits to Cajun deviled eggs and crawfish boil frittata, The Magnolia, as the house is called, and its hosts served up an afternoon of delight. And the luncheon wouldn’t have been complete with a traditional king cake to round out the festivities.
