Tournament Updates
March 6, 9:31 a.m. – The Lady Vols took home a 77-37 win against 16-seeded Texas A&M on Wednesday, March 5 in their first round of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, taking place in South Carolina. Talaysia Cooper was the team’s leading scorer with 19 points, a triumphant welcome back after leaving the final regular season game Sunday with an injury. Jewel Spear and Zee Spearman brought in 11 points each and Samara Spencer brought in 10. More excitement to come for the Lady Vols Thursday morning as they take on 8-seeded Vanderbilt. – R.W.
