The Dogwood Arts House & Garden Show is back and this year, organizers say it has more vendors and DIY experts than ever before.

The interactive home improvement workshop provides many ways to support local businesses and give back to the community. The fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the Dogwood Arts programming, is set to feature more than 200 vendors that will include everything from two dimensional artists to candle makers. The event creates an opportunity for Knoxville entrepreneurs to expand their audience and connect personally with new clients.

Tim Wells attributes much of his fencing business’s success to the platform created at the House & Garden show. Tim’s Fencing started out as a 10×10 booth at the fundraiser back in 2017; this year it’s the Presenting Sponsor.

“I truly think when you are fully engaged in the show you can feel that maker spirit of Knoxville.” he says. “People have a true appreciation for the craftsmen and the art behind the trade here.”

Shannon Herron, Marketing and Creative Director for the festival, says that there will be plenty of artists to see and even learn from. “We like to say from the ground to the gutters, we have businesses of every type no matter what project you are looking to do.”

In addition to visiting vendors, this year guests can get hands-on experience with local makers by learning DIY instruction at The Demo Zone, the festival’s newest exhibit. The “How-To” stage is a returning attraction for the show, featuring a rotating set of handiwork experts doing presentations throughout the weekend. Parents can rest assured, the kiddo friendly Creation Station is also making its comeback. Community organizations will also be highlighted to provide a spotlight on nonprofits that help the Knoxville community, including Dogwood Arts.

“People might not know, but this event is the largest fundraiser for Dogwood Arts,” Herron says. “The money that we raise at this show funds the festivals that we host the rest of the year. It is not only good for the local businesses, but the money that we raise goes right back into the community.”

The Dogwood Arts House & Garden show is displayed from February 7th-9th at the Knoxville Conventions Center. You can learn more at www.dogwoodarts.com/houseandgardenshow.
