Knoxville natives Jamie and Robbie Kidd have always believed in treating the people around them with respect and integrity. This core value they share is the foundation for creating Blinds & More E. TN together in 2020.
Over the years, the company has built a reputation for offering both quality window treatments and exceptional service, and it all stems from one critical set of values: “It’s simply important for our family to serve other families,” Jamie says,” and to make sure that they’re not just satisfied—we want them thrilled with us, our products and our service.”
A Family Approach
This desire to treat every client like family is something that is simply ingrained into the Blinds & More mentality. Between Jamie’s 20 years of experience in design and custom window treatments, and Robbie’s three decades in sales and marketing, it is no wonder this company manages the “very personal and trusted relationships” with their clients with such ease.
“Our goal is to install a quality product the client is truly excited about with our primary focus on service,” Robbie says. “We want our clients to feel taken care of from start to finish.”
In 2022, this locally-owned business grew that family mentality even more by bringing their eldest son, Del Fercho, into the fold. Del, an Air Force veteran, now serves in the family business as lead installer. By combining all their efforts—Robbie focusing on client relations, Jamie designing custom treatments and then Del bringing those designs to life—meeting client expectations is their specialty.
More to the Process
The process of buying and installing window treatments is anything but a simple project.
“There’s a lot more to window treatments than people realize,” Jamie says. “You have your soft treatments, such as drapes, fabric shades, and valances. Then, there are the hard treatments like shutters, motorized shades and blinds. There are just so many things to consider. It’s not just about aesthetics, which is the primary focus of most clients, it’s also about light control, privacy, energy efficiency, and, honestly, whether that product they fell in love with will even fit or work properly in their window.”
With all of that in mind, treating a window treatment as a simple project or even a DIY project can create any number of headaches for a homeowner. In fact, on too many occasions, the couple has been called in to pick up where a homeowner has left off, knowing they can count on the expertise of Blinds & More. All of this is why Robbie, Jamie, and Del want to ensure families in East Tennessee are taken care of from start to finish.
“We provide a full concierge design service. We come to you,” Jamie says. “We measure, design, and install, taking the stress and worry off our clients so they can enjoy their treatments long term.”

In the end, the team at Blinds & More E. TN is committed to serving their clients at the highest level and ensuring that their clients—“who often become friends and even family,” Jamie says—will fall in love with their homes over and over again, one window treatment at a time.
“We understand, especially these days, inviting people into your home is a real commitment,” Jamie says. “It’s really important that you build trust with people before you even step in their home, and that’s what we try to do.
