One of the most notable features of a person is their smile. When a person can feel confident flashing their smile, they often feel at their best. Cornerstone Dental strives to achieve only the best for their patients. Dr. Ben Stroud is a winner in this year’s Best Of. He wants every one of his patients to love their smile. “A smile says a lot—confidence, mood, how you’re feeling,” he says. “So when someone wakes up in the morning and looks in the mirror, I want them to like the smile they see.”
Stroud is a partner with three other dentists at Cornerstone Dental Arts. The four original partners established a fantastic identity and reputation 30 years ago. “It’s something all of us strive to maintain and expand. We want to make sure it’s always reaching new heights,” Stroud recalls.

Stroud first joined Cornerstone right after graduating from dental school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. His focus is not only cosmetic dentistry but also sleep apnea and TMJ disorders. While he initially planned to leave after a couple years and start his own practice, Stroud soon discovered that there was no place he’d rather be.
Griffin also holds a degree from UT Memphis. His focus is IV sedation, bone-grafting, computer-guided surgery and implants. New advancement in these procedures has allowed Griffin to give patients great results, while reducing the timing of the whole process.
Cornerstone’s team builds strong relationships with their patients and believes in individualized, quality care. “I don’t think we can listen enough to our patients,” Stroud says, explaining that a dentist who listens can make patients more comfortable and find solutions faster. People are individuals and ought to be treated as such and we get to know all of them, know their families, and what makes them tick.
