Sick of the run of the mill trunk-or-treats and haunted houses and are on the hunt for something unique? Look no further, we have a list of boo-tiful, local events to attend during the Halloween season.

Halloween Trail at the Village Ancient Lore Village 

Join Ancient Lore Village through October 30 for a Halloween Trek with fun characters with buckets of candy to give out. Though, the characters change depending on when you go: October 30 is princesses and their villains. Be sure to book your time slot for either 5:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. and have a sweet time!

Trick or Treat in the Cave

Trek down a cave trail for your trick-or-treating needs. At the Cherokee Caverns, you can deck yourself out in a fun costume and walk through the world’s only underground vortex tunnel all on a self-guided tour with your family. You can either attend on October 27 at 5:00 p.m. or October 28 at 3:00 p.m. There are prices for entry.

Halloween Costume Hike, 2023 

Love the outdoors and wearing fun costumes? Look no further. A Halloween Costume Hike will commence in Metcalf Bottoms and hike to Walker Sisters Cabin. Stopping at the School house and graveyard on the way, there will be lots of fun photos to be taken. After the hike you can plan to head to Abbey for food, drinks and fun. The hike will take place on October 28 at 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. So now is the perfect time to see if your hiking boots match your festive costume.

Halloween Silent Disco 

Hi-Wire Brewing Taproom is hosting a Silent Disco for all of you Halloween music lovers. The music starts at 7:30 p.m. on October 28. You’ll be able to choose between three music channels and howl your favorite tunes just like a werewolf.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

At 11 p.m. on October 28 you can watch the annual showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Full of costume contests, fun and anticipation, this event is not one you want to miss! Make sure to grab your tickets asap!

Halloween Storytime 

Here’s a fun event to bring your kiddos along! On October 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. the public library invites you for a night of spooky stories, fun crafts and ghastly games. A special night like this will make you the mummy of a lifetime!

Spooky Flow Yoga 

Want a chill and relaxing Halloween night? Join Warrior Heart USA on October 31 at 5:30 to 6 p.m. for a Halloween-themed yoga session. There you can dress up in a festive Halloween costume and go through a sequence of yoga poses based on your favorite Halloween characters.

Wicked Cool Downtown Knox

Downtown Knox is prepared for a terror-ific night for all ages. You can find some businesses joining in on the fun, a wicked walk photo op, a scavenger hunt, and there’s even a Halloween costume contest. Their number of events run through the weekend, so make sure to check out their site for more information!
