Led by Dr. Allen Langford and Dr. Jordan Ringer, the practice combines specialized training with a patient-first philosophy. Dr. Langford, a University of Tennessee graduate, completed his dental education in 1998 and his orthodontic residency in 2001. Dr. Ringer joined the practice in 2023, bringing with him a growing family, as well as a commitment to excellent care and a fluency in both English and Spanish.
Experience Meets a Personal Touch
For Drs. Ringer and Langford, every patient represents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference and a positive, life-long impact in someone’s life. “After all,” says Ringer, “the smile we create for a patient may be seen during an interview for college or a first job. On a first date or at a wedding ceremony. The impact of a great smile is immeasurable.”
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, Drs. Langford and Ringer work closely with each patient, getting to know them, listening to their individual concerns, and understanding what a successful outcome looks like to that person. “Our goal is to make our patients feel at home,” Ringer says. “Our team is trained to help them feel like a member of the family.”
The Art, and Science, of a Beautiful Smile
Continuing education plays an important role in Langford and Ringer’s approach to their work, and both are committed to keeping up to date on the latest technology and techniques in orthodontics. Ringer describes their recent focus on advanced aesthetics and finishing techniques. “It's not just contouring the teeth to get them to their proper proportions, shape, and size, but also the gum line,” he explains. “When patients finish, we're looking not just at the alignment of the teeth, but at so many different elements of the smile and the proportions of the teeth and gums as it relates to the face.” The goal is a balanced, natural-looking result, not simply straight teeth, but a smile “where everything works together for a great result.”
Giving Back to the Community
The practice's commitment to making a difference extends beyond its office. Through the Gifted Smiles program, Ringer treats patients who might otherwise be denied access to care, with a commitment to access that has deep roots. Growing up with a father who was an oral surgeon, Ringer participated in humanitarian dental trips to underserved communities in South and Central America. Those experiences helped shape his decision to pursue healthcare… and his ability to serve Spanish-speaking patients and families.
Ultimately, for Drs. Langford and Ringer, there’s more to their work than creating a beautiful smile. They’re helping someone approach new opportunities with greater assurance, and carry that confidence into every aspect of their life. As Dr. Ringer puts it: “I’m always amazed at how life-changing a great smile can be.”
