Dr. Meredith Overholt and Dr. Kimberly Grande have spent decades understanding skin, treating disease and helping patients feel confident in their appearance. Now, the practice welcomes Dr. Jeremy Greer, a board-certified dermatologist and Johnson City native. After medical school at East Tennessee State University and dermatology residency at the Medical College of Georgia, Greer returned to East Tennessee. “You get to make the decision that’s best for them in the room with them,” Greer says.

The practice’s long experience with lasers illustrates that combination. Grande recalls introducing their first laser in the late 1990s. Since then, their collection has grown into what she calls “a stable full of lasers,” allowing the team to select technologies for particular concerns.
That range gives them flexibility. Depending on a patient’s needs, treatments can address different layers of skin, targeting concerns such as laxity, fine lines, uneven pigment and texture. Overholt recently underwent three laser treatments in one sitting herself, an example of how the team can thoughtfully combine technologies while limiting repeated recovery periods.
The equipment, however, is only part of the story. Grande emphasizes that the practice evaluates aesthetic procedures from an academic and scientific perspective. New treatments must earn their place. Medical training and experience also shape the selection and preparation of the people providing care.

Grande recalls patients seeking removal of what they believed were sunspots, only for the team to recognize a potentially serious lesion that ultimately proved to be melanoma.
