The Oscar Meyer Weinermobile is in Knoxville for some Hallo-weenie appearances!
The 27-foot-long hotdog on wheels will pull in at Drive-in At the Midway at Chilhowee Park on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30. The movie night, sponsored by the Knox County Public Library, will feature a showing of Coco that night. The movie night is free. Read more about it here.
On Saturday from noon to 2 pm, the Weinermobile will be part of Trunk or Treat at John Tarleton Park, 2487 Sutherland Ave., and from 3 to 8 pm you’ll find it at Trick or Treat in the Cave, at Cherokee Caverns, 8524 Oak Ridge Highway.
Finally, on Halloween, the Weinermobile will be at Beds, Brews and Boos at Worlds Fair Park from 1 to 6 pm. The charity event will include a bed race, trick or treating, food trucks, live music and giveaways. Click here for more info.
The Weinermobile, for trivia buffs, has been around since 1936, when the nephew of Oscar Meyer’s founder came up with the idea to drive it around Chicago. That one was 13 feet long. The 27-foot version was introduced in 1995.
