Classy Caterer expands its team to offer customers
the only catering team they’ll ever need
When life offers you opportunities, you take a leap of faith and jump right in. At least, that’s what Trisha Kelly, of Classy Caterer, did when she was presented with the opportunity to expand her team with seasoned catering talent. When two well-known local catering companies were shifting their operations, Trisha knew she needed to provide an outlet for the talents. She connected with team members at the two companies and offered them a home with Classy Caterer.
“We’re one big happy family now,” Trisha says. “We all have blended so well and work so well together.”
The company specializes in corporate and party catering, and their service area includes Knox, Anderson, Loudon, Blount, and Sevier Counties. They cater almost any type of food you can imagine—if you can say it, they can cook it, Trisha says. If you’re looking for breakfast, they can do any style. If you’re looking for brunch, lunch, or dinner, they can do that, too. They fulfill all sorts of special requests. If a team member is retiring, and you want to serve her favorite dish, they can do that. They can easily meet any dietary needs.
“We’re going to do everything we can to please the client every time,” Trisha says. They always go the extra mile.
However, if you’re not sure what you want, they do have a standard menu as well. Trisha explains, “We can cater to very different price ranges as well. We can do something as simple as a salad and sandwich bar or potato bar.
There’s hardly a Tuesday that goes by when we don’t do a taco bar. We have Mediterranean fare. We have pasta days where we’ve got a full menu of different pasta dishes that we can offer. We’re pretty widespread on the menu.”
Classy Caterer also offers full-service options. Unlike other companies that just deliver the food then leave, customers hire Classy Caterer for not only the menu, but also to set up the artistic table styling, bus tables during events, and clean up after event conclusions. Clients don’t have to worry about anything. Ironically, that’s how the company got its start.
Trisha was involved in the corporate world for 32 years before forming Classy Caterer six years ago. During that time, she worked with hundreds of caterers at countless events, but out of all the many companies, she never found one that brought a level of presentation that met her standard. “I never really felt that it presented itself as, for lack of a better word, classy,” Trisha says. “I always brought in my own plates, my own serving pieces, my tablecloths. Every time I would have someone come to my office, I would scale it up.”
Trisha saw a need in corporate catering. And as the saying goes, “If the business you want doesn’t exist, create it.” And that’s exactly what she did. She credits much of her success to not only her business acumen, but her faith. “To God be the glory,” she says, “because the way things have worked and fallen into place, we could certainly see His hand in things.”
With her faith leading her path, and now with an expanded team of professionals working alongside her, Trisha and her team at Classy Caterer are ready to offer even more East Tennessee customers with the opportunity for a more elevated corporate catering experience.
