It is officially travel season, and many of us will be bringing our four-legged friends along for the ride. But it’s a good idea to make sure the hotels you are staying in—or suggesting to family—accept the kind of animal you have. Cityview has compiled a list for you of some of the pet-friendly hotels in Knoxville and some key vacation destinations, along with some of their pet-specific details. Happy traveling!

Knoxville

Hyatt Place, Downtown (530 S Gay St.)

  • Accepts dogs up to 50 pounds or two dogs with a total combined weight of up to 75 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a $75 cleaning fee for nights 1-6 or $100 for nights 7-30.
  • BONUS: The hotel is within a seven minute walk of the PetSafe Downtown Dog Park.

Drury Inn & Suites, West Knoxville (209 Advantage Pl.)

  • Accepts up to two dogs or cats, with a total combined weight of up to 80 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a daily pet fee of $35 plus tax.

The Tennessean, Downtown ( 531 Henley St.)

  • Accepts dogs up to 50 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable pet deposit of $100 per stay.
  • BONUS: A dog park is available for use next to their parking garage.

Hilton, Downtown (501 W. Church Ave.)

  • Accepts up to two pets with a total combined weight of up to 75 pounds (“Large” pets are accepted, though we recommend calling about your breed)
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable fee of $75.

Hampton Inn & Suites, Papermill (618 W. Main St.)

  • Accepts up to two well-mannered dogs, cats, birds, and fish, with a total combined weight of up to 50 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable pet fee of $75 plus tax.
  • BONUS: The side parking lot has a designated pet walking area, and you’ll find a pet walk at various points outside the hotel.

Asheville, NC

Kimpton Hotel Arras  (7 Patton Ave.)

  • Accepts any pet, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, iguanas, etc.
  • NO PET FEE!
  • BONUS: They have available artsy feeding bowls, pet beds, treat bags, and toys!

Hilton Garden Inn (309 College St.)

  • Accepts pets up to 50 pounds (“Medium size” pets are accepted, though we recommend calling about your breed)
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable fee of $75.

Omni Grove Park Inn, (290 Macon Ave.)

  • Accepts two dogs up to 60 pounds each.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $200 cleaning fee.

Grand Bohemian Hotel (11 Boston Way)

  • Accepts up to two dogs of any size.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $150 for one dog, $200 for two.
  • BONUS: Treats and bowls provided!

Country Inn & Suites (22 Westgate Pkwy)

  • Accepts up to two dogs of any size.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $50 fee per pet.
  • BONUS: Treats available at the front desk, and there is an outdoor “pet station” with grass.

Atlanta, GA

Hotel Clermont (789 Ponce De Leon Ave.)

  • Accepts dogs of any size.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $75 fee per pet.

The Whitley (3434 Peachtree Rd. NE)

  • Accepts two pets, dogs up to 50 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $150 cleaning fee.

Loews Atlanta (1065 Peachtree Rd. NE)

  • Accepts up to two pets per room.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $75 fee.
  • BONUS: Pet room service, pet walking and pet sitting services, toys, treats, bedding, litter boxes, and then some!

Sheraton (165 Courtland St. NE)

  • Accepts pets of any size.
  • You’ll pay a $50 pet fee.
  • Bonus: There are walking trails around the hotel and a park in walking distance.

Westin Buckhead (3391 Peachtree Rd. NE)

  • Accepts one dog up to 50 pounds. (They do not accept “aggressive breeds” so be sure to call ahead to see if your dog’s breed is accepted.)
  • NO FEE!
  • BONUS: Bowls and beds are available.

Nashville, TN

Virgin Hotels (1 Music Sq. W)

  • Accepts all pets. No size or breed restrictions.
  • NO FEE!
  • BONUS: They have dog beds, bowls, and treats.

Margaritaville Hotel (425 Rep. John Lewis Way S)

  • Accepts dogs only.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $150 pet fee.

JW Marriott (201 8th Ave. S)

  • Accepts up to two pets up to 50 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $100 fee.

Grand Hyatt (1000 Broadway)

  • Accepts up to two dogs.
  • NO FEE!

Dream (210 4th Ave. N)

  • Accepts dogs up to 50 pounds.
  • Myrtle Beach, SC

DoubleTree Resort Oceanfront (3200 S. Ocean Blvd.)

  • Accepts two dogs of any size.
  • You’ll pay a $75 fee per pet, per night not to exceed $300 per stay.
  • BONUS: They have a fenced off-leash park on the property.

Comfort Suites (710 Frontage Rd. E)

  • Accepts two dogs or cats up to 50 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a $30 fee per pet, per night.

Patricia Grand Resort (2710 N. Ocean Blvd.)

  • Accepts two dogs up to 20 pounds, but only in certain rooms. *Cats, rottweilers, pit bulls, dobermans, boxers, German shepherds, and chow chows are not permitted.
  • You’ll pay a $20 fee per pet, per night, up to $150 per week.
  • BONUS: There is a dog park on the property and the beach front is pet-friendly.

Residence Inn Oceanfront (2605 S. Ocean Blvd.)

  • Accepts two pets of any size.
  • You’ll pay a non-refundable $150 fee.

Vancouver Motel (2601 S. Ocean Blvd.)

  • Accepts one dog up to 35 pounds.
  • You’ll pay a $15 fee per night.
