1. How to Garden in Gravel

Join UT Gardens Director Emerita Sue Hamilton for an exploration of her newest garden endeavor — how to grow a low maintenance garden in gravel. Learn which plants to choose, how to prepare the soil, and the benefits of this planting style. Class size will be limited to 15 participants. Feb. 27. Register here.

2. Flowering Tree and Shrub Walk

Enjoy the Gardens in early spring with this tree and shrub walk! You will learn to identify various trees and shrubs that are blooming in the UT Gardens. March 13. Register here.

3. Friday Fun Day: Rainbows

Did you know that rainbows don’t really end? They are a circle even if we don’t always see them that way. This program is designed for kids ages 3-5, but all kids are welcome and parents must be present. March 5. Register here.

4. Wild Bird Extravaganza

Take these spring activities home by purchasing kits that contain craft and activity materials for one participant, with an option to buy a kit for four participants. Each activity will be bird-related; what they eat, characteristics all birds share, and more. Pick up on March 26. Register here.

5. Do you have garden books to donate?

Donate your old garden related books to the Gardens’ Free Little Garden Library right outside the Kitchen Garden or email hjones3@utk.edu or call Holly at 865-974-9266 with donations.
