Though Santa’s arrival is still a ways off, it’s time to start celebrating! Here are eight things to do in the final weeks of November to get in the Christmas spirit.

The Metropolitan Holiday Craft Fair returns to Mill and Mine Nov. 21 after a COVID hiatus. The indie-craft marketplace features contemporary craft and design, and upcycled goods with a funky, vintage-inspired vibe.

Let the shopping continue on Sunday at Old Sevier Holiday Market at Hi-Wire Brewing on Sevier Ave. The market will feature handmade local wares by over 40 makers.

Yay! Fantasy of Trees returns to the Knoxville Convention Center starting Thanksgiving Eve and running through Nov 28. The East TN Children’s Hospital event attracts crowds (the organizers are working on ways to manage that) and raises big bucks for the children’s hospital.

Christmas in the City kicks off on Friday, Nov. 26, with the Regal Celebration of Lights in Krutch Park and the opening of the Holidays on Ice skating rink on Market Square. The celebration continues through Jan. 2.

Meanwhile, at Zoo Knoxville, Zoo Lights will return, and more than double in size from last year’s display. It features animal lanterns, mythical creatures, festive food and drinks and lots of twinkle. It opens Nov. 26 and runs through Jan. 9.

On Nov. 28, head to Lakeshore Park for a festive evening of lighting up Lakeshore Park, with food trucks, vendors, live entertainment and kids’ activities.

Last, but never least, don’t forget Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood. The festivities include more than 5 million twinkling lights, holiday shows, seasonal treats and fireworks. The celebration continues through Jan. 2.
