While serving in Germany with the Army, George found himself in a helicopter above the Normandy D-Day beaches. Desiring better photo opportunities, he had the crew chief attach lines to his pistol belt so he could hang out the helicopter’s back door. “In hindsight,” he says, “it would have been wise to have worn a parachute.” Currently, he co-hosts local radio and TV shows and is a regular contributor in Cityview’s Local Politics.
