Brooks Clark has written for Cityview since 2000, when he traced the roots of Robert Mitchum's 1958 hit The Ballad of Thunder Road. He has reviewed restaurants for us since 2012, the same year his wife, Karen, started writing our elegant-home tours. Brooks was a writer-reporter at Sports Illustrated, an editor at Whittle Communications, an executive speechwriter at TVA, and writer for Office of Communications & Marketing at the University of Tennessee, where he received his MFA in nonfiction writing in 2016. Brooks teaches at UT's School of Journalism & Electronic Media.
