So, no surprise here, it’s not been the BEST year on record. Still, there all always blessings to recognize and acknowledge. Here are five we’re thankful for this year.
1. Our helpers
Where would we be without our doctors and nurses, our grocery store workers, our delivery drivers, our pharmacists and so many more? These essential workers have doubled down their efforts to keep us safe and supplied.
2. Our volunteer spirit
From food deliverers to mask makers to spirit lifters, East Tennesseans have jumped in to help make this year as positive as possible. We’re thankful for each and every one who chose to reach out and help others.
3. Our part of the world
From our beautiful mountains and lakes to the climate and our neighborhoods, we’re thankful to live in East Tennessee.
4. Our blessings on the table
Our feasts may not be as festive this year as they have in the past, but we’re grateful to have food on the table to enjoy and nourish us.
5. Our loved ones
Our tables may be smaller this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reach out and send some love to those near and far who aren’t with us. We are blessed by so many, and we are thankful to be able to be a blessing in return.
