The UT World Percussion Ensemble gives its first of two outdoor, socially-distanced concerts tonight featuring its steel band. The concert, which begins at 6 pm, will highlight arrangements of socas, the popular music style of Trinidad and Tobago, and will also feature an arrangement by graduate student Tyler Stark. Bring a chair if you want to sit, or you can get up and dance!
The concert will be at the Natalie Haslam Music Center, Lot 23 (Tents located near the parking lot), 1741 Volunteer Boulevard. If you’re unable to make it in person, the event will be livestreamed. A link will be posted a few minutes before the concert begins. Check here to get that.
