It’s About Thyme

It was a magical evening. Seven great chefs, eight wonderful wines, a delightful three-piece jazz ensemble, and close to 300 happy guests sampling it all. Representatives of The Chairman’s Club, in their brightly colored blazers, mingled throughout the crowd while artist Robert Tino created a masterpiece right before our eyes.

There is a certain feeling you get when you are surrounded by extraordinary talent. As I sampled each of the chef’s offerings, my palate was delighted, but listening to each of them describe their entrees and desserts was as equally enticing. Each was wonderful and it was at that moment that I am always thankful that we allow each guests to vote on what they think is the best, and that I don’t have to choose.

Jeff Carter, corporate chef of Aubrey’s/Sunspot, brought just the right amount of spice and swept the competition with a double win. Jeff once told me his favorite spice was thyme, fitting as it seems it was his time to shine.
